We are very excited to present Storehouse 006 - Garlic Fest on Sunday, July 22nd, 2018 featuring music by Joan Shelley and a screening under the stars of Footage from the Alan Lomax Archive, 1937-1993presented by Alan Lomax Archive Curator Nathan Salsburg. And, of course, a garlic-centric potluck feast!
By mid-July, garlic season will be in full swing around Harbor Country, so we are taking inspiration from Chez Panisse’s annual Bastille Day garlic festival and Les Blank’s remarkable documentary,Garlic is as Good as Ten Mothers, to bring you a something just as charming and delicious.
This will be an intimate event with limited capacity, so please RSVP by filling out this form and clicking the Submit button.
Tickets are $20 per person with all of the proceeds going to the artists. As always, this is also a BYOB & potluck event, and we encourage everyone to make their favorite garlic-based dishes this time around as we celebrate summertime in Harbor Country.
Feel free to spread this email around to others and we will send you an email with concrete info and directions to The Storehouse the week of the show. This will be a rain or shine event. If it is raining (which it won’t be), we will move everything inside.
We are also happy to accommodate anyone who wants to camp on-site. Please let us know in advance if you are planning on camping so we can get a solid headcount on that front.
Potluck @ 5pm / Joan Shelley @ 7pm / Footage from the Alan Lomax Archive @ 8pm
**All times are EST**
See you there!
